What is teleahealth therapy?
Telehealth therapy connects clients with licensed therapists via technology, allowing remote mental health care through a HIPPA-compliant video platform. It offers convenience and flexible scheduling, benefiting those in rural areas or with mobility issues.
What are your specialties?
I specialize in PTSD associated with sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, childhood development and those in the military. I also specialize in anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA concerns, ADHD, ASD, and Life Transitions for adult individuals.
Do you take insurance?
I am Out of Network, meaning all sessions are private pay. However, I can provide superbills with the information needed for possible reimbursement depending on your insurance.
What can I expect for my first session?
In the first therapy session, I employ a biopsychosocial approach to understand the client's situation holistically. We will discusses personal history such as childhood, family background, including medical/biological history. We will also explore psychological aspects such as current emotional health and coping skills. Finally, social factors like relationships, cultural background, and environmental stressors are reviewed. From there we will discuss your counseling goals and collaborate in creating a treatment plan that suits your individual needs.
How long are sessions?
Approximately 45-60 minutes, however we can always discuss your individual preferences during the scheduling process.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Life happens! I understand this. All I ask is that you please notify me 24hrs in advance to cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid the cancellation fee.
