A dynamic approach to therapy
Transforming mental healthcare
More than just the couch! I create a space where I engage clients in all forms of movement that help guide them to themselves by building trust between mind and body. Whether its active movement like Running Therapy, soothing movement like informed Somatic Therapy, or talk therapy to promote harmony between movement and rest, Move Talk Zen is the practice for you. You choose the dynamic you desire for your sessions and we will move you towards whole body wellness one step at a time.
I accompany my clients during all movement sessions to provide biofeedback on body posture, pace fluctuations, and check in reminders for mindfulness to aid with enhancing the mind-body connection. Moving with clients also creates a relational environment that is less intimidating than the traditional sit and talk style of psychotherapy (although there is always a positive to traditional talk therapy!). There are options to engage in all three forms of therapy to give you the variety of zen you desire and to foster a deeper understanding of what your body and mind need on any given day.

Why self pay?
Many therapists are transitioning away from accepting health insurance due to its inherent limitations on therapy. While this shift may discourage some individuals from seeking help, it’s important to understand that insurance often imposes specific diagnoses requirements and can dictate the duration of treatment. This doesn't always align with what’s best for patients.
Opting to pay out of pocket can provide greater personal autonomy over your therapeutic journey, ensuring that your treatment remains confidential and free from the oversight of insurance companies.
To assist with expenses, we are happy to offer a superbill for your sessions. This document can be submitted to your insurance for potential out-of-network benefits, allowing you to navigate your financial options while prioritizing your well-being.
